The American Psychiatric Association (APA) provides information and resources on trauma.
The National Child Traumatic Stress Network (NCTSN) was established to improve access to care, treatment, and services for traumatized children and adolescents exposed to traumatic events. They provide information and resources on a wide variety of child and adolescent traumas which includes information for parents, professionals, military families, and the media as well as information on terrorism and disasters.
The National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) provides information on warning signs for trauma.
The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) provides information and resources on trauma and violence.
Sesame Street’s Traumatic Experiences portal designed to help kids and adults cope with tragic and stressful events. It includes videos, articles, workshops and activities to help children under 6 years old understand their feelings and the world around them, as well as helping adults to see the needs of their kids and act accordingly.
An organization that helps people understand, recover from, and treat traumatic stress, dissociative disorders, and co-occurring issues, such as addictions, self injury, and suicidality. Sidran develops educational programming, resources for treatment, support, and self-help, trauma-informed community and professional collaboration projects, and publications about trauma and recovery. They also provide a national list of trauma treatment centers. The Sidran Institute has created Dental Tips for Survivors.

Risking Connection® teaches a relational framework and skills for working with survivors of traumatic experiences. The focus is on relationship as healing, and on self-care for service providers. Many different learning opportunities are available.
Seeking Safety is an evidence-based, present-focused counseling model to help people attain safety from trauma and/or substance abuse. It is an extremely safe model as it addresses trauma and addiction, but without requiring clients to delve into the trauma narrative.
