We are thrilled to hear from Dr. Curt Thompson at our first Hope for Mental Health Community of 2022! Dr. Thompson, a psychiatrist from Virginia and the author of The Soul of Shame, Anatomy of the Soul, and The Soul of Desire: Discovering the Neuroscience of Longing, Beauty, and Community, connects our built-in desire to be known and loved with the need to tell truer stories about ourselves. His words invite us to process in community our longings, grief, identity, and purpose, as well as remind us that we were made to create beauty with our lives.
