Our country is in the middle of two big crises right now: the COVID-19 pandemic and the racial injustices that have led to the tragic deaths of Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and George Floyd, among others. Both of these crises have highlighted the disparities that have existed in the black community as it relates to medical treatment, mental health and access to care. We are honored to have Dr. Sidney Hankerson join us for our Hope for Mental Health Community. Join us as we discuss “Confronting Racism and Mental Health Disparities” and the impact of systemic racism in our country. Dr. Hankerson also shares from his experience as a black man, Christian, physician, researcher, husband, father, and as someone who has lived with depression and anxiety.
