If you or someone you love is experiencing suicidal thoughts please call the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline at 800-273-8255. Or contact the Crisis Text Line by texting TALK to 741741. A downloadable resource list is also available at: https://bit.ly/34OJMAL. You are not alone.

This is a very stressful time, with fears about job security, health concerns, family relationships, financial worries looming large for many. But it’s even more stressful if you or someone you love also has mental health issues. Put the two together – mental health issues and additional life stressors – and some will experience an increase in suicidal thoughts.

Dr. Christine Moutier, the Chief Medical Officer for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) joins Kay for a compassionate, practical conversation about how we can bolster our mental health. Dr. Moutier, a leading psychiatrist in the field of suicide prevention, brings passion and commitment to this subject from her personal experience of the impact of suicide.
